LANSING, MICHIGAN — The idea of permitless carry, or Constitutional Carry, seems to be sweeping across the Country. The latest state to introduce legislation is Michigan, although it will likely be a long and hard-fought battle.
The bills, introduced last Tuesday by four House Republicans, would allow any law-abiding citizen to carry a concealed carry firearm without the need for a permit.
The referenced article points out that anyone who cannot legally carry a firearm would still be not allowed to do so, which is a point that shouldn’t even need to be made. Let’s face it though, enough politicians have convinced a lot of people that permitless carry would allow criminals to carry firearms.
They’re forgetting that criminals can’t carry legally, anyway. Minor details.
