BREAKING: Suspected School Shooter Shot, Stopped In His Tracks By Armed Resistance; No Other Injuries

MESQUITE, TEXAS — On Monday, a student brought a gun to a Mesquite charter school, resulting in a police-involved shooting, as confirmed by the Mesquite Police Department. The incident occurred at the school located at 3200 Oates Drive after police were alerted about an armed individual on campus.

The student, whose identity and motives are undisclosed, was engaged in negotiations by officers before the shooting took place. Following the incident, the student was hospitalized, with their condition remaining unknown.

No other students or officers were harmed.

School officials emphasized the effectiveness of their safety protocols in swiftly managing the situation and ensuring the safety of the school community.
