Man Arrested After Pointing Gun At Woman’s Head

ROCHESTER, MINNESOTA — A 29-year-old Rochester man, Quantrell Penya, was detained after allegedly threatening a woman with a handgun around 2 p.m. Monday on 22nd Avenue NW. Eyewitnesses at the scene confirmed the incident to the Rochester Police Department.

Police say Penya pointed the gun at the woman’s head.

The nearby area was temporarily closed off as police sought Penya, who was later apprehended near the Kwik Trip on 12th Street SE by 3:15 p.m. The police were unable to recover the handgun in question.

Penya faces charges on three felony counts, including domestic assault, second-degree assault using a dangerous weapon, and violent threats.
