Police Release Video Showing Incident Where 14-Year-Old Girl Was Shot In Department Store Dressing Room

Published

Police have released surveillance and badge cam video from an incident where a 14-year-old girl was shot and killed while inside a dressing room at a department store. Police were called to the location after reports of a man attacking someone with a deadly weapon.

Video shows the suspect walking around and acting strangely, before assaulting a few shoppers who crossed his path. Eventually, the suspect finds a woman inside the store and begins attacking her with his bike lock, striking her multiple times and causing severe injuries.

Luckily, police were able to stop the suspect from continuing his attack. However, one of the rounds fired at the suspect had missed it’s target and went through a wall. On the other side of that wall was a 14-year-old girl in a dressing room, who was fatally shot.

There were many opportunities for this suspect to be stopped, but no one in the area at the time to do so. The situation is a terrible one all around, and there are many lessons to be learned from this one. I encourage you to watch the full video below, and think about this incident from an armed citizen’s perspective.
