The original Springfield Armory was a guns and ammunition storage facility during the American Revolutionary War. By 1794 they were manufacturing muskets. For the next 150 years, the Armory produced the majority of American military firearms.
The Armory closed in 1968, but when the Reese family started their gun company in 1974, they resurrected the name of the Springfield Armory, and since then they’ve re-produced the most historically significant designs produced by the Armory. Springfield Armory, Inc. maintains the highest standards in quality, building firearms both in the United States and in Croatia. They continue to maintain this tradition, while consistently researching and creating new, inventive products.
