Homeowner Endures Beating by Thug Duo, Then Turns the Tables, Big Time

WARREN COUNTY, IA — When a pair of thugs decided to break into a man’s home and assault him, the homeowner took the beating.

Then he got his turn.

As Fox 59 reports:

Officers were called to the residence in the 1900 block of West 1050 North near Boswell around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday. When authorities arrived, they spoke with the homeowner, William Kellerhals, who said two white men kicked in his side door and entered without permission.

Kellerhals says one man beat him with a bat before he was able to retrieve a gun and fire shots at the suspects, who then jumped into a car and fled the area.

Police say nothing was taken from the home and Kellerhals received only bumps and bruises. One suspect is described as being about 5’10” to 6’0 tall, with a slender build and he was wearing a white t-shirt at the time. No description was provided for the other man.

Kellerhals took a bat beating and still got to his firearm to bring the fight to the bad guy. That’s pretty flipping awesome.

That being said, this brings us back to a point that we haven’t touched on in a while, but is always, always, always true — those who carry at home are those who are best prepared for thuggery.

You don’t know when the bad guys are going to target your home. I sure don’t, either. The only way to be prepared for that possibility is to treat it like an eventuality.

Stay armed at home whenever possible. If you’re not and disaster strikes, try to be like Kellerhals.

Seriously. He gave a pretty impressive performance.
