[VIDEO] Pawn Shop Employee Returns Fire On Armed Robbers, Incident Caught On Camera

Two pawn shop employees are lucky to be alive after one of them pulled out their own firearm from their waistband to defend against two armed thugs.

According to 5newsonline.com, it happened around 9am on Saturday at a pawn shop in Arkansas when two men walked in and began looking around. Before the two employees knew it, both men pulled out handguns and began to rob them. Let me rephrase; began an attempt to rob them.

Seen in the video, owner Shirley Cornett drew her .38 revolver at the very moment the suspect near her began to look the other way. She fired several shots, hitting the man once in the arm. He was able to return fire and luckily did not hit anyone.

The suspects, Marcus Gould, 25, and Leon Roberson, 20, were captured and face charges of Attempted Capital Murder and Aggravated Robbery.

Gould was the one who was shot by the owner, and Roberson was lucky to get away without being shot as well. Roberson, however, was having difficulty with his firearm that could have been beneficial to the two employees.

If you watch the video closely, you’ll see that he has numerous stove pipes in a row and needs to clear them before firing again.

It’s a good thing that Roberson doesn’t understand how to care for a firearm, but it’s also a shame that he knew how to clear this type of malfunction. Hopefully, the justice system will prevail and put them away for life. Then, it won’t even matter.

If you kept watching the video, then I’m sure you ran into the section where the reporter interviews a business owner in the area. This business owner tells the reporter that it isn’t the first time the pawn shop has been robbed, and it’s also not the first time the owners have fired back. Here is what he had to say:

I’m really upset about it. Owning a gun is ok, but firing just in heavy traffic… I have family here. The business owners, all of them have family, but just, it’s not right. They need to understand there are business owner as well as their neighbors too.

If you got lost with that, so did I. To sum it up, that business owner says that while he isn’t against owning a gun, he is against the gun owner using it for self-defense. Apparently, he’d like to see his fellow business owners carted away in the back of an ambulance than see them defend their lives against a pair of armed thugs.
