Intruder Shot At By Armed Resident, Falls 3 Stories Before Being Arrested

Published

ATLANTA, GEORGIA — An off-duty Atlanta police officer, at home during the early hours of Tuesday, responded to an attempted break-in by firing a gun at the intruder. This incident occurred at Dwell at the View apartments on Hollywood Road NW.

Although the suspect wasn’t hit by gunfire, he sustained non-critical injuries after falling from the third floor.

The identities of both the officer and the suspect remain undisclosed.

A resident of the complex, preferring anonymity, told reporters that the area has recently experienced a surge in break-ins and criminal activities. Police are currently investigating the full context of the attempted burglary.

The intruder is lucky to have non-life-threatening injuries after falling from such a height, and one can only hope that he’s learned his lesson after whatever jail time is served.
