Chicago Concealed Carrier Fires Back At 4 Armed Men During Carjacking Attempt

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS — Early Wednesday morning on Chicago’s West Side, a 65-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman were shot during an attempted carjacking. Four armed assailants approached their vehicle around 4:40 a.m. in the 0-100 block of North Kostner, demanding the car.

The man, a licensed concealed carrier, drew his gun and fired at the attackers, who responded with gunfire. The woman was hit in the chest, and the man sustained a minor wound to his calf.

The assailants fled in their SUV, and the victims, in stable condition, were hospitalized.

Authorities are currently investigating the incident, but no arrests have been made.
