SLIDELL, LOUISIANA — An intruder lost his life in an early morning confrontation at a residence on Rue De La Paix, Slidell, according to the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office. At around 1 a.m. Tuesday, a brief 911 call was made from the home, but the caller disconnected before conveying the gravity of the situation.

When authorities reached out again, a female inhabitant recounted how the suspect had entered the home and engaged in a violent altercation with two residents. The clash resulted in injuries to all parties, eventually leading to the intruder’s death at the location. Currently, one of the victims is receiving medical attention and is stable.

Preliminary findings suggest that the incident wasn’t a random act, as the perpetrator seemingly had targeted the specific home for the invasion.
