MARION STATION, MARYLAND — Around 10:15 on October 17th, Maryland State Troopers were dispatched to a report of a shooting at a home in the 5700 block of Cornstack Road in Marion. Their investigation revealed that a female, 46-year-old Lagina Lynn Robellard, had been fatally shot.

The victim was estranged from her husband, 54-year-old James Matthew Robellard of Hebron. Robellard is accused of shooting his former wife and a 47-year-old man who lived with her. That man, fearing for his life, shot the male Robellard in self-defense.

Both men were transported to TidalHealth Peninsula Regional Hospital in Salisbury for treatment of their injuries, which were non-life-threatening.

Robellard is charged with first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, two counts of first-degree assault, home invasion and using a firearm in the act of a felony. Police do not expect to file any charges against the male victim.
