Angelina Jolie Speaks Out On Alec Baldwin Shooting: I’m “Very Careful” When Handling Guns

Published

According to IMFDB.org, Angelina Jolie has handled 37 different firearms while appearing in films from 1993 to 2010. That’s no small feat, and now we’re hearing a little about what firearm safety means to the actress after she spoke briefly on the tragic Alec Baldwin shooting that occurred last month on a movie set.

The star spoke with the U.K. Times, expressing her feelings on the incident, and finally discussing safety that should always be taken seriously anytime you handle firearms.

“I can’t imagine what these families are going through. At this moment, the grief and the tragedy of that accident is quite overwhelming,” Jolie told the U.K. Times in the article. “I’ve always been very careful because I’ve had to work with guns a lot.

“The way I’ve worked or checked when I’m directing, there are certain procedures. You have to take it very seriously.”
