3 Dead, 5 Injured In New Mexico Motorcycle Rally Shooting

RED RIVER, NEW MEXICO — A tragic incident unfolded in Red River, New Mexico, as a shooting at a prominent motorcycle rally on Saturday resulted in three deaths and several injuries. Details about the severity of the injuries were not available, but it was confirmed that one injured individual was airlifted to Denver for medical attention.

Five individuals were injured during the incident and are currently receiving medical care. The Mayor affirmed in an interview that the shooters, allegedly affiliated with a motorcycle gang, have been apprehended. Despite this, New Mexico State Police didn’t disclose any details about arrests or potential suspects but confirmed that the scene was secure and that public safety was no longer at risk.

The shooting took place around 5 p.m. on Main Street, close to two retail outlets. The state police had previously announced that a shooting investigation was underway in the town.

The incident occurred during the 41st annual Red River Memorial Motorcycle Rally, an event that attracts nearly 30,000 visitors and features music performances.
