UPDATE: 3 Children, 3 Adults Killed In Nashville Elementary School Shooting, Female Teenage Gunman Dead

Police confirmed during a press conference that 3 children were killed and 3 adults during the mass shooting. The suspect was identified as a female who was a teenager, who had multiple firearms with her during the attack, described as two rifles and at least one handgun.

NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE — A shooting took place at The Covenant School, a Christian school for preschool through sixth grade located in Nashville. When police arrived to the scene, they engaged the suspect, who was later found dead.

A local medical center confirms that three pediatric patients received to their location have died as a result of their injuries.

“We are responding to an active aggressor at 33 Burton Hills Blvd Covenant School. We can confirm we have multiple patients,” a spokesperson for the Nashville Fire Department said.

“An active shooter event has taken place at Covenant School, Covenant Presbyterian Church, on Burton Hills Dr. The shooter was engaged by MNPD and is dead. Student reunification with parents is at Woodmont Baptist Church, 2100 Woodmont Blvd.,” the department wrote in a statement.
