In the midst of the chaos, a mother named Gale Hanscom received a distressing text from her daughter, an employee at the hospital, who had taken shelter in a closet. Her daughter later revealed that she overheard an argument involving the former employee and a doctor, followed by six gunshots. Displaying courage under such tense circumstances, she promptly dialed 911. Expressing her relief at reuniting with her daughter, Hanscom praised her child’s quick thinking and bravery.
