[WATCH] Armed Robber Fires Round In Gas Station, Run Off By Clerk

TEXAS — A surveillance video released by the Sugar Land Police Department shows a man entering a convenience store in southeast Texas, brandishing a handgun, and firing a shot into the ceiling, according to released surveillance video.

He then demanded money from the store clerk, who retaliated with a firearm of their own.

The suspect fired another shot before running away. No one was injured, partially thanks to a bullet-proof enclosure around the clerk’s register, according to Fox News.

The police have not identified the suspect, who is still at large.

The footage released by the police shows the suspect fleeing through the parking lot. The incident highlights the importance of self-defense, especially in situations where the perpetrator is armed.
