Suspect Shot In The Groin By Dollar Store Manager During Attempted Robbery

PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA — The manager of a dollar store foiled an attempted robbery when he shot the suspect multiple times.

The incident occurred Sunday, November 20th at around 4:15 pm. The incident occurred at the Grace Dollar Store in the 6900 block of Bustleton Avenue, in Northeast Philadelphia. The 26-year-old suspect went into the location in an attempt to rob the store. The suspect was shot 7 times, being struck in the chest, leg and groin.

The suspect was transported to Jefferson-Torresdale Hospital where he was reported in critical condition. He will be placed in custody upon release. No other persons were injured in the incident.
