Self-Defense Shooting Outside Bucks County Bar Leaves 2 Dead, 1 Injured; Police

UPPER SOUTH HAMPTON, PENNSYLVANIA — Steven A. Panebianoc and Raymond A. Farrell died on Friday October 8, 2022 after they were shot and killed by a person acting in self-defense.

Around 11:30pm police responded to multiple calls of a shooting that happened in the parking lot of the Steam Pub on Second Street Pike in Upper South Hampton. Panebianoc and Farrell were found dead on the scene and a third victim, a 24-year-old bystander was hit by a bullet but did not suffer any life threatening injuries.

One of the callers was the shooter and remained at the scene, according to the district attorney’s office. The shooter was a 21-year-old man, and he held a valid permit to carry. His firearm has been recovered and police say he acted in self-defense, according to the initial investigation.

The investigation is still underway as the police are securing the surveillance footage from the bar. It is not expected that charges will be filed at this time.
