Man Fires Gun Into Crowd Of 200 People Outside Syracuse Strip Club

SYRACUSE, NEW YORK — While I was at the Syracuse airport waiting for an extremely delayed flight, a 24-year-old decided it’d be a good idea to pull out his illegal gun and fire multiple shots into a crowd of people just 5 miles away. It happened outside a strip club called Lookers Showclub just before 4 am Sunday.

Devonaire King, 24, was arrested after officers responding to a call for shots fired in the area at about 3:45 a.m. heard more gunshots and saw King firing a weapon into the crowd, Hack said. After taking him into custody, officers said they found a loaded handgun.

Police took King into custody, and remarkably no one was shot during the incident.

Police estimated that the group of people totaled around 200.

It’s not known what the motive for the shooting was, but hopefully King will spend a good amount of time behind bars, unless New York’s new bail reform lets him out early.
