SIMPSON COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI – A naked man was fatally shot after attempting to break into a home on Monday evening. Investigators say that the incident happened just before 9:00 p.m. at a home on Dan George Road.

Deputies were summoned to the house for a reported burglary and shooting. The caller said that a naked man was attempting to break into her mother’s home next door. She also told authorities that her husband confronted the naked man, and the two began fighting.

During the altercation, the relative shot the suspect in the arm and torso. When authorities and medical responders arrived on the scene, the suspect was pronounced dead on the scene. The suspect has been identified by police as Clint Jones, Jr. Investigators are still working on the case and will present it to District Attorney Chris Hennis of the 13th judicial district for review.

Investigators did not speculate on why the suspect was unclothed, nor if there would be an autopsy performed to determine if he was under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
