Ruger American New Shooter Academy Season 2: Episode 2

Safety first! Before the Johnson’s begin their training with Kyle, the firearms safety rules must be reviewed.

Always keep the gun pointed in a safe direction.
Always keep your finger off the trigger until you’re ready to shoot.
Always keep the gun unloaded until ready to use.

Kyle also takes the family through the firearms that they will be shooting and distinguishes the differences between them: bolt-action rifles, semi-automatic shotguns & rifles, AR rifles, semi-automatic handguns, and single vs double-action revolvers.

Throughout the series, the Johnson’s will be shooting Ruger’s: SR22 & Security-9 pistols, the 10/22 Takedown and PC Carbine 9mm rifles.
