A 26-year-old woman was shot by two armed men after they broke into her home shortly before midnight Monday night.

According to local media reports, the men entered the home through the kitchen window and when the woman went to investigate, one of the men immediately shot her in the groin.

The suspects demanded money right after the shooting, but the woman fell to the ground and collapsed. The suspects then took off and are still being sought by police.

A 4-year-old child was in the home at the time and was uninjured. The woman is currently in the hospital and is listed in stable condition

Police say one suspect is a black man, 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-9, who was wearing a black mask, red hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans at the time of the home invasion. The second suspect was wearing all black when the shooting occurred, police say.
