Life feed of protests in the Ferguson area. On Monday night, the announcement was made that the grand jury will not indict Officer Wilson in the shooting death of Michael Brown in August.

After months of deliberation and combing over evidence, a grand jury has decided not to indict Officer Wilson in the shooting death of 18-year-old Michael Brown on August 9th of this year.

Shop owners have been preparing for riots and looting by boarding up their locations, and many citizens have prepared by arming themselves in anticipation of the grand jury’s decision. Gun shops in the area have been reporting record sales in the last few weeks ahead of the anticipated violence.

Last week, the Governor of Missouri declared a state of emergency ahead of the decision.

Officer Wilson shot and killed unarmed teenager Michael Brown in August in an apparent struggle between the two, and unrest has plagued the area since.
