ANOTHER GROIN SHOT: Neighbor Shoots Man Assaulting Girlfriend, Little Boy Alerts Neighbor Of The Assault

This is the second groin shot story I’ve covered in the past few weeks. Maybe it’s a new trend? If it is, it may have people think twice before doing something they shouldn’t be doing. There is nothing quite as damaging to a man to, well, lose his manhood.

A Bridgeport CT man found himself in the middle of an argument when the son of the couple arguing came to his door to say that his mother was being assaulted by his father. The father, 29-year-old Jose Torres, allegedly punched his victim in the face over an incorrectly placed food order. Yes, an incorrect food order. While no excuse would fly, this shows the short fuse that this man apparently possesses.

The neighbor, who has not been identified, went back to the apartment with the young boy and saw the victim running out the front door. Her boyfriend was in chase, tried to grab their son, and that’s when the neighbor attempted to intervene. The neighbor stated that he ordered Torres to the ground, but that Torres declined to oblige and instead began to charge him.

That’s when the neighbor fired his registered handgun at Torres, hitting him in the groin.

When police arrived, the neighbor yelled down to them, “I’m up here and I have my gun. What do you want me to do with it?”. Officers told him to put his firearm on the ground, which he did. He was then placed in handcuffs until the situation was sorted out.

So far, no charges have been filed against the neighbor, who many are hailing a hero.

This article begs the question asked so often around here; What would you have done if you were the neighbor in this situation?
