The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency has charged two teenagers with multiple counts of murder in relation to the Dadeville mass shooting, according to recent reports. Ty Reik McCullough, 17, and Travis McCullough, 16, both from Tuskegee, were each charged with four counts of reckless murder.

During a press conference on Wednesday, ALEA announced that no bond would be granted for either of the teenagers. Both were taken into custody on Tuesday at 8 p.m. Additional charges may still be forthcoming, according to Alabama District Attorney for the Fifth District Mike Segrest.

The suspects would be charged as adults, and the investigation was still in its early stages, according to ALEA Sgt. Jeremy Burkette.

The mass shooting occurred at the Mahogany Masterpiece Dance Studio on Sunday evening while a sweet-16 birthday party was being held. Philstavious Dowdell, 18, of Camp Hill; Corbin Dahmontrey Holston, 23; Shaunkivia Nicole Smith, 17, both of Dadeville; and Marsiah Emmanuel Collins, 19, of Opelika were among the four individuals killed during the shooting, according to Tallapoosa County Coroner Mike Knox.

32 people were injured in the attack, and there are still four individuals in critical condition. While no rifle ammunition was found at the scene, numerous shell casings from handguns were recovered by special agents. The district attorney assured the public that justice would be served for all victims of the tragic event.

“We’ve got a lot more victims in this, we’ve still got four that are in hospital, four that are in critical condition. They’ll be pending charges coming regarding all those,” Segrest said. “So, when I tell you that this is just the tip of the iceberg and forthcoming charges, literally, we’re going to make sure every one of those victims has justice.”
