Jewelry Store Guard Opens Fire On 3 Armed Suspects During Attempted Robbery

Published

FULLERTON, CALIFORNIA — At a Fullerton jewelry store, a security guard fired at three armed robbery suspects, causing them to flee. This incident occurred on Wednesday around noon at Happy Jewelers on South Harbor Boulevard.

The suspects, wearing masks, had exited a dark sedan, allegedly carrying handguns. Fullerton Sgt. R. O’Neil reported that the guard’s action prompted the suspects to escape. The guard, unharmed, stayed at the scene to assist with the investigation. No injuries were reported, although the shootout resulted in visible damage to a nearby pillar and a minivan’s window.

The store’s staff commended the guard’s rapid response, with the owner humorously noting that a raise request by the guard would now be undeniable. The suspects are still at large, and the public is encouraged to provide any relevant information to the police.
