Woman Shoots Man In Self-Defense During Domestic Dispute, Fight

CLEVELAND, SOUTH CAROLINA — In an early Saturday morning incident in the Durango Road and Geer Highway area, a domestic violence situation escalated, leading to the arrest of 48-year-old Danny Sanders.

Greenville County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene following a report of a domestic altercation. It was discovered that Sanders had a confrontation with his girlfriend, during which she shot him in self-defense. The residence showed signs of damage from the dispute.

Sanders, who had left the location after being shot, was later apprehended by deputies. He faces charges of second-degree domestic violence and malicious damage.

Sanders received medical attention for his gunshot injury.
