Chicago Concealed Carrier Shoots 2 Of 2 Attackers, One Fatally

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS — A licensed concealed carry holder was attacked by two men in a vehicle around 1 a.m. on Saturday. The event occurred in the 1600 block of North Hamlin Avenue, on the city’s northwest side.

The 31-year-old intended victim, who possesses an Illinois concealed carry license, was shot at by the assailants. In self-defense, he fired back, hitting both attackers.

The first, aged 44, suffered a fatal chest wound. The second, aged 37, was shot in the shoulder and hospitalized in fair condition.

This case adds to Chicago’s growing record of defensive gun use incidents this year.
