UPDATE @ 6:34PM — During a press conference, police stated the suspect was armed with a rifle and handgun. Three individuals were killed, and the suspect turned the gun on himself. The suspect was identified as a white male in his early 20’s. The shooting is said to have been racially motivated.
Photos of the rifle and handgun were shown by police, including writings and what appears to be a swastika drawn on the rifle.
UPDATE @ 5:34PM — The suspect left a manifesto at his parent’s home prior to the shooting, according to Action News Jax. His parents contacted police once they found it. The suspect was seen behind a library at Edward Waters University just after putting on a ballistic vest. Campus security tried chasing the suspect but were unsuccessful.
UPDATE @ 5:01PM — Sources tell Action News Jax that at least 3 people were killed during the incident, and that the suspect is also dead.

JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA — Multiple fatalities have been confirmed by the Mayor of Jacksonville in a mass shooting that occurred near a Dollar General store and reportedly ended at the store.
According to witnesses, the suspect began firing at vehicles as they drove down the road and ultimately ended up at the Dollar General Store, where he had barricaded himself.
The number of fatalities is unknown.
The suspect is reported to have been shot and killed by police.
