Man Shot And Killed By Former Partner’s New Boyfriend

ATLANTA, GEORGIA — A homicide investigation is underway in northwest Atlanta following a fatal shooting incident. The Atlanta police responded to reports of a shooting at approximately 12:19 a.m. on Sunday, which occurred at a residence on Hollywood Road NW.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a 23-year-old man who had been shot, who succumbed to his injuries at the scene. As of now, the victim’s identity has not been disclosed.

Based on the ongoing investigation, it was revealed that the victim was the former boyfriend of the individual residing at the address. At the time of the incident, the resident’s current boyfriend was also present in the home.

An altercation broke out between the victim and the resident’s current boyfriend, resulting in gunshots being fired. The current boyfriend, identified as the suspect, fled the scene after the shooting. Authorities have not disclosed whether the resident had any involvement in the incident.

The case remains open as law enforcement continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the tragic event. Further details are yet to be released by the authorities.
