MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE — An individual in Memphis has been arrested after allegedly posing as a firearms seller to rob a customer. The police responded to an armed robbery incident in Hickory Hill on April 12, where the victim claimed $600 was taken from him.

The victim had expressed to a friend his intention to purchase a gun for self-defense, and was directed to 18-year-old Caleb Wade, who allegedly had an AR-15 rifle for sale. The victim and Wade agreed on a price of $600. On the night of April 10, Wade arrived at the victim’s home purportedly to sell the rifle.

However, Wade is said to have threatened the victim with the rifle and forcibly took the money. Wade has since been apprehended and charged with aggravated robbery, with a bail set at $75,000. His court appearance is scheduled for Wednesday morning.
