Resident Shot And Killed During Suspected Home Invasion In Georgia

ACWORTH, GEORGIA — A 19-year-old man was fatally shot during a suspected home invasion at an apartment in Acworth, as reported by the local police. The incident occurred on Wednesday morning at the Walden Ridge Apartment Homes on Cobb Parkway. Upon responding to a shooting call, officers discovered the victim, identified as Aiden Kane Shaw, deceased from gunshot wounds.

The identity of the suspect remains unknown, and they have yet to be apprehended. The investigation suggests the possibility of multiple suspects involved in the crime. Eric Mistretta of the Acworth Police stated that the whereabouts of the shooter are currently unknown.

In an effort to gather more information on the suspects, the police are reviewing surveillance footage from nearby security cameras. The detectives collected evidence from the scene, including the front door of the apartment, which had several bullet holes. Additionally, Shaw’s car was towed as part of the investigation.
