AUSTINVILLE, VIRGINIA — According to the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, a homeowner in Austinsville, Virginia shot a naked woman who broke into his home and attacked him with a frying pan on February 26.

Deputies were dispatched to the scene and found the woman, later identified as 35-year-old Paula Michelle Locklear, with a gunshot wound to her leg, according to Fox 10 Phoenix.

She was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The homeowner reported hearing a noise coming from the back of his home and discovered Locklear, an unknown woman, breaking into his house.

Locklear then assaulted the homeowner with a cast iron frying pan. He was able to get her out of the house before securing it.

However, Locklear continued to cause damage to the property by turning off electrical breakers and pounding on the kitchen window while yelling at the homeowner to leave “her” house and threatening to kill him.

The homeowner eventually shot Locklear in the leg with a gun after she continued to cause damage and threaten him. Locklear was released from the hospital and charged with breaking and entering, assault and battery, and damaging property.

The homeowner will not be charged as the shooting was deemed self-defense. Locklear is awaiting arraignment in Carroll County General District Court.

Hopefully, this woman can get the help she very clearly needs.
