Robbery Suspect Shot By Convenience Store Employee In El Paso

EL PASO, TEXAS — An armed employee thwarted an attempted robbery at a convenience store in El Paso, Texas, according to reports, according to reports.

The incident took place Monday, Feb. 6th at around 12:28 p.m., according to KFOX 14.

The incident occurred at the DK convenience store, located at 5201 Fairbanks Drive. The suspect, identified as a 32-year-old male, allegedly entered the location, displayed a firearm tucked into his pants and demanded cash.

The clerk, a concealed carrier, the reportedly shot the suspect.

The suspect was transported to University Medical Center and last reported in stable condition.

El Paso Police spokesman Sergeant Robert Gomez stated that the incident would be referred to the District Attorney’s Office.
