Famous NASCAR Driver Kyle Busch was detained at a Cancun airport for allegedly possessing a handgun Illegally. The incident happened on January 27th at a private terminal at the airport.
Initial reports seemed to point to Busch being arrested and sentenced to over 3 years in jail, but Busch would quickly post to social media with a statement saying that was simply not

It is illegal for nearly anyone to carry a firearm in Mexico, and it’s interesting to see Mr. Busch being able to board a plane back to the US with such seemingly simplicity.
The moral of this story is the same one we share anytime we cover a “gun at the airport” incident: Know where your firearms are at all times, especially if they’re in your luggage.
