ST LOUIS, MISSOURI — A 13-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder and robbery in connection with the fatal shooting of Kay Johnson in January, according to reports.

Johnson was shot and killed while pulling her car into her garage in St. Louis, according to KSDK.

Her 14-year-old daughter was in the car with her at the time. The St. Louis Police Department believes Johnson was one of multiple victims in a string of recent attempted or confirmed carjackings, according to KSDK.

Previously, a 14-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder and first-degree robbery in connection to the shooting.

Both teens were being held at the St. Louis County Juvenile Detention Center at the time of KSDK’s report. Police have not released their names.

In addition, three suspects aged 16, 17, and 18 were taken into custody after a police pursuit of a car that was wanted in connection to the shooting.
