One Dead, One In Custody In Attempted Home Invasion In Alabama

WINSON COUNTY, ALABAMA — A suspect is dead and another is in custody after an attempted home invasion in Winson County, Alabama.

The incident occurred December 13th at a residence on County Road 21 in Poplar Springs, according to WBRC.

The two suspects entered the home at the location, according to law enforcement. One of the suspects allegedly struck a resident with a handgun and then opened fire. A resident then shot and killed the suspect.

The second suspect fled the location but was later apprehended. He was identified as 21 year old Donald Webb Jr.

He was charged with Robbery 1st degree and was in the Winson County Jail at the time of the report. The resident who shot and killed the first suspect was not facing charges.
