Wild Shootout With Police, Imagine If The Person Taking This Video Were Armed

Published

NORTH AUGUSTA, GEORGIA — An absolutely wild shootout happened on Thursday between a suspect and police, a scene which was captured by multiple citizens on their cell phones.

The man firing at police is a known felon with plenty of run-ins with the law. This incident began when someone called police about a vehicle in a location that it shouldn’t have been in, which led to the driver taking off and crashing the truck, which then led to a shootout with police.

One video in particular shows the camera man in a pretty ideal location to take this guy out. He wasn’t armed that we know of, but watching the video, you can’t help but wish that someone with this ideal position would come into frame and stop this guy from continuing his assault on the officers.

In the end, one officer was shot in the leg and taken to the hospital by an unidentified woman who came to help. The suspect eventually surrendered and was taken into custody.
