Southwest Employee Shot Dead By Robbers While Inside Airport Parking Garage

Published

EL PASO, TEXAS — A 49-year-old employee of Southwest Airlines was shot and killed in what police believe could have been a robbery. His body was found in a car park at the airport, and police could be looking for multiple suspects.

“We are shocked and saddened to hear about the tragic event. Our hearts and deepest condolences go out to the victim’s family, Southwest Airlines, and all those impacted by the incident,” El Paso aviation director Sam Rodriguez told KFOX14.

Hopefully police will be able to locate the suspect(s), and bring them to justice for what they’ve done. Airports and other locations that don’t allow firearms are perfect opportunities for criminals who don’t follow the law. They’re well aware that most people walking into an airport is not armed, because doing so would be against the law, especially if they’re the ones traveling.
