“Multiple People Down”, Pentagon Police Officer Killed During Shooting Outside Department of Defense

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A Pentagon police officer was killed in a shooting incident that happened outside the Department of Defense building Tuesday morning, near a platform by the facility’s Pentagon Metro station.

The building went into lockdown, and all entrances were secured shortly after. While the scene is still active, it was confirmed by the Arlington Fire Department that multiple people were down at the scene. Their conditions were not immediately available.

There is no information yet as to the number of wounded or killed, or any details on the suspect.
