Would You let Your Kid Carry A Fake Gun as Part Of Their Halloween Costume?

Published

Years ago, this wasn’t an issue. Now, things are different. With those differences, the question is simple: Would you let your own child carry a fake gun around on Halloween as part of their costume?

It’s a wild question when you think about it at a basic level. I remember as a kid walking around with a pretty nice looking cap gun, and I’m sure my parents thought nothing of it. That may be a stretch because I was probably 6, but you get the idea.

What about a 12 year old? I don’t know the cutoff age for trick-or-treating, so bear with me here.

If you did allow it, would there be certain rules in place? Would you look for any specific features on the fake gun, such as an orange tip?
