Resident Shoots One Armed Robbery Suspect Dead, Injures Another Suspect

WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS — On Sunday evening, an attempted robbery at the Country Park Apartments in Wichita Falls turned fatal, resulting in the death of 32-year-old Quincy Moore and injuries to others. The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. in the 5200 block of Professional Drive. Wichita Falls Police Department responded to the scene, finding three individuals with gunshot wounds, including one resident of the apartments.

The resident, an intended victim of the attempted robbery, reported that Moore and another male had attempted to rob him at gunpoint. A shootout ensued when the intended victim also produced a firearm, leading to all three individuals being shot. Moore was later declared dead at the hospital. The second suspect is in serious condition and is being closely monitored by police.

The resident who was targeted in the robbery has since been treated for his injuries and released. The identity of the second suspect currently in the hospital has not been disclosed by the police.

The Wichita Falls Police Department’s Crimes Against Persons Detectives are actively investigating the incident to uncover further details.
