Burglary Suspect Gets Shot By Homeowner, Then The Homeowner’s Dog Attacks

Published

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS – It wasn’t a good night to attempt a break-in for a Texas man who was first shot by the homeowner and then bitten by his dog. The shootin’ and bitin’ happened at a home in the 500 block of Marshall Street, not far from North Flores Street and Interstate 10.

San Antonio police say that the homeowner heard a noise as the suspect attempted to force his way into the house. Armed, he went to investigate and shot the suspect once in the hand. Not to be outdone, the dog of the house then confronted the intruder and bit him in the leg.

The suspect, who was not publicly identified by police, was treated by first responders at the scene for his gunshot and bite wounds. The homeowner was detained for questioning, but will not face any charges, according to authorities.
