Son Fatally Shoots Man To Protect His Mother In Apparent Domestic Violence Situation

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS — A man was fatally shot in a possible case of self-defense stemming from a domestic disturbance, according to San Antonio police. Officers responded at 5:37 a.m. to the Days Inn Motel in the 9400 block of I-35 North and Whirlwind Drive.

Police say a 33-year-old man drove to the motel in a stolen vehicle searching for a woman who was there hiding from him, and that he had been known to make threats against her. At some point he was shot by the woman’s son, an 18-year-old male. Police believe that it may have been in self-defense of his mother. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities believe that this all stems from a domestic situation. They would not speculate on any possible charges and say that the investigation is ongoing.
