Armed Clerk Gets Into Shootout With Robbery Suspect, Only One Prevails

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS — In an early morning incident at a San Pedro Avenue 7-Eleven, a potentially dangerous robbery was thwarted by the bravery of an armed clerk. When the assailant demanded money at gunpoint, the quick-thinking cashier drew his own firearm in self-defense.

A shootout ensued, and while the perpetrator managed to escape, it’s believed that he may have been shot. An in-store customer was grazed by a stray bullet, but declined medical assistance.

Law enforcement is diligently searching for the suspect, while the clerk is cooperating with police investigations.
