If You’re Not Going To Carry Safely, Don’t Carry At All.

I’m trying to be good with this one, but it’s tough because the internet is filled with great information for gun owners to dig through and find out what’s good and what isn’t.

Of course there are companies out there that take advantage of new gun owners by trying to sell them absolute junk that serves no useful purpose, but one needs to take a hard look at their setup if they’re carrying like this:

The immediate problems to address with this particular case:

  • The Holster: A flappy nylon holster with a ‘one size fits all’ approach is junk, and that’s the honest truth. They’re trash, they’re dangerous, and they shouldn’t be sold anywhere. Get yourself a holster that’s molded specifically for the firearm you’re carrying.
  • Pants and Belt: We’re lacking a sturdy structure here, with no belt and less than desirable pants. If you’re carrying on your waist, do so with a sturdy gun belt. If you really want to wear the pants you’re wearing, there are other locations to carry your firearm, such as a belly band (with molded kydex insert).

On one hand, you want to be supportive and hope that this woman gets some training and proper guidance when it comes to concealed carry.

On the other hand, you look at this and immediately wonder how it all came together.

All we can do is watch our family and friends. Do you know of anyone who is carrying with a less-than-desirable setup? It might be a good idea to have a talk with them about properly and safely carrying a firearm.
