[HOLSTER REVIEW] JM4 Tactical Magnetic QCC Holster for Concealed Carry

Magnets and holsters are something that we don’t see too often, but they definitely serve a purpose if constructed properly. Not too long ago, I was introduced to a magnetic holster made by JM4 Tactical, and it’s been pretty impressive.

The design uses two very strong magnets to keep the holster in place, while allowing a pretty versatile setup. The holster can sit nearly anywhere on the waistline and remain comfortable and functional.

Let’s first see what the manufacturer has to say about their Magnetic QCC Holster:

The Original QCC is the first ever and only Magnetic Retention holster that provides you with a way to carry your firearm no matter what you wear.  From jeans to athletic shorts to yoga pants, the Original QCC allows you to be armed and prepared without the hassle of belts or clips that damage your clothing.  Both men and women are changing the way they carry and loving the comfort, convenience, and deeper concealment they can only find with the Original QCC.

In the first picture above, you can see how the firearm sits in the holster. When ordering, a size is needed so that you get a good fit with the firearm you plan to use. It’s a much better fit than I had anticipated, and holds my Glock 26 firmly, while still allowing a pretty easy draw.

In the photo above, you can see the two magnets below the leather. This flap is what wraps around your belt. As I said before, these magnets are extremely strong and do an excellent job with keeping everything in place.

The craftsmanship on the holster is very nice, and you can tell that they take their time and really care about the final product. The stitching is great and the leather is very nice, and it didn’t take a terribly long time to break it in.

This particular holster has a sweat and slide guard, which is a feature that I always look for in an IWB holster. It makes reholstering much easier by giving you a nice piece of leather to run your firearm down into the holster, while also protecting the slide from your skin, which negates any moisture that you could pass along.

While I haven’t done it, I can imagine this holster being used on many clothing items, such as athletic clothing for example. With the strong magnets, they should have no problem closing a secure connection through that type of material. Of course you’ll want to make sure that this is a viable option for you before leaving the house, but it seems completely plausible in my mind. The company does specifically mention this in their product description, and this feature makes it stand out among many other holsters on the market.

For this holster, I carry at the 4 o’clock position. It’s my go-to spot for IWB, and it proved to be extremely comfortable. There wasn’t any moving around of my firearm, and it even proved comfortable when sitting. Even driving long distances in the car was no problem in the world of concealed carry comfort.

For those looking for a little personal touch, this particular holster is available in 6 different colors. Check them out below:

The company itself is run by a husband and wife team, as well as other employees, right in Texas. The products are not machined, but rather created by hand to ensure that fine attention to detail. It really shines through in their product.

Happy holster shopping!
