CROSBY, TEXAS — A woman with a concealed carry permit stopped a man who was trying to rob her at a gas station Friday evening.

The woman was sitting inside her car when a man opened her car door and demanded her purse. Instead of handing over her purse, the woman pulled out her firearm and shot the suspect, striking him in the shoulder.

The suspect took off running down the street, but quickly collapsed. Police found him and he was transported to the hospital for treatment. He now faces aggravated robbery charges.

The woman was not injured.

No charges are expected to be filed, as this seems to be a clear-cut case of self-defense.
