At Pittsburgh International Airport, TSA officers discovered a loaded gun in an Arizona man’s laptop bag. When the man opened his bag, the weapon, loaded with five bullets, tumbled out. This incident resulted in a weapons charge against him.
This marks the 27th gun detected by TSA officers at this airport this year, surpassing last year’s total of 26. Across the nation, 6,542 firearms were identified at 262 out of 430 airports in the previous year, with a startling 88% loaded.
It’s crucial for travelers to remember that firearms in carry-on bags are a big no-no. Those intending to travel with firearms must declare them in their checked baggage and adhere strictly to TSA guidelines to ensure safety for all passengers.
