BLAINE TOWNSHIP, PENNSYLVANIA — Police say a woman defended herself by shooting her neighbor in the thigh after he forcefully entered her home by breaking the back doors. The neighbor, identified as James Milligan, reportedly threatened to kill her during the incident.

Police have recognized the woman’s actions as self-defense. Milligan is now facing charges for burglary and criminal trespassing.

Being prepared inside your home is just as important as being prepared outside. It may be silly to say, but 100% of home invasions happen inside the home, and it’d be a dark day if you weren’t ready and willing to defend yourself if that day should ever come.
